The short version: BatchPrep does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
What Data We Collect
None. BatchPrep is designed to work entirely offline. We do not collect, track, or have access to:
- Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- Your recipes, meal plans, or shopping lists
- Your pantry inventory or budget data
- Your device information or usage analytics
- Your location, contacts, or photos
No Accounts Required
BatchPrep does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. There is no registration, no email collection, and no user profiles.
Data Storage
All data you create in BatchPrep — recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, and budget entries — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.
Analytics & Tracking
BatchPrep does not include any analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, crash reporters, or telemetry of any kind. We do not use services like Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or similar tools.
Third-Party Services
BatchPrep does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data, with one exception:
Apple App Store & StoreKit
When you make an in-app purchase ($4.99 one-time unlock), the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or purchase details beyond what is necessary to verify the unlock status on your device.
Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Recipe URL Import
When you import a recipe from a URL, your device makes a direct network request to that website to fetch recipe data. This request does not pass through our servers — we have no servers. The website you import from may have its own privacy policy governing that request.
Children's Privacy
BatchPrep does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no data at all, it is compliant with COPPA requirements.
Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have any of your data. The shopping list share feature uses your device's native share sheet — the shared content goes directly from your device to the recipient you choose.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Since we have no way to contact users (we don't have your email), we recommend checking this page periodically.
